Project closeout is the process of formally completing a project, documenting outcomes, and archiving records.
Closeout steps
- Verify all tasks are complete -- Ensure every task is marked as Done.
- Review budget -- Confirm all expenses are accounted for and within budget.
- Final report -- Generate and submit the project summary report.
- Stakeholder sign-off -- Obtain approval from project sponsors.
- Archive -- Move the project to archived status.
